Collossians 4:5-6 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
We don't always know who is watching us or how our actions may affect someone. When I read the verses above I am drawn to the words that our speech should be "with grace as though seasoned with salt". As much as possible I want every action I take and every word I speak to draw men to Christ and to honor my Father in Heaven. Grace is delivering the message in a thoughtful and considerate way while the salt is providing the truth of God.
If we keep a constant reminder that our every action could have an impact on those around us it will cause us to be more thoughtful in everything we say and do.
