1 John 5:1-4
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
Do you believe God's word? Do you believe that God loves you? Do you love God?
If you answered yes to all three of these questions you should see results in your life that show you believe. If we love God we should love those who love him. We should love his word. We should seek to do his will. What God asks of us is not too heavy. God asks for our obedience. God asks that we love our fellow man. God asks that we are just, merciful, kind, and humble. God asks that we have faith, hope and love. God asks that we show forgiveness. God asks that we care for the souls of others.
Life provides us many challenges as we seek to live the life that is pleasing to God. We need to seek help through studying the Bible and seek help through prayer. Our faith in God can give supply the victory over doubt. Faith in God gives us the ability to look past the ways of the world and to take the higher ground. When we realize the love of God for us it enables us to show that love to others.
We must never lose sight of how great God's love is for us.
